AppleInsider is reporting that Apple plans wide support of Intel’s forthcoming 45-nanometer Silverthorne processors. Consuming only .5 - 2-watts of energy, the chip has been developed cell phones, UMPCs and other mobile devices. In addition to it being super-efficient, it's also much cheaper to manufacture than current mobile chips, which should lead to lower prices (or higher profit margins) for any devices it's placed into.
Wat is Apple planning then, the processror will show up only in the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Could it be a new tablet?
